Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau – Tyrol
At night it snows thick flakes, in the morning the sun makes the fresh powder snow glitter. 145 km of freshly groomed piste await the first turns. The cable car is only a few metres away, within minutes you are having fun on the piste. Sounds like a skier's dream, in the Simmerlwirt it is reality. At least if the weather gods cooperate. Our ski hotel is the ideal starting point for your skiing holiday in Tyrol.
It is located up the mountain, close to the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau cable car, which is one of the top ten largest Tyrolean ski areas. 145 kilometres of piste, 24 traditional ski huts and 3 adventurous snowparks inspiring skiers and snowboarders alike.
For young and old tobogganing fans there is a toboggan run close by, for cross-country skiing there are numerous beautiful tracks leaving from the hotel, taking you through the magnificent snowy landscape of Wildschönau.
Hiking in Wildschönau and the Kitzbühler Alps
Impressive mountain panoramas, 300km of hiking tracks of varying levels of difficulty and 46 traditional huts with fantastic views – all that awaits you in Wildschönau in the heart of the Kitzbüheler Alps.
The Simmerlwirt is located in the middle of this hiking paradise and is the ideal starting point for your hiking holiday. The range of hiking routes is enormous, we are happy to make suggestions suited to your needs.

Paragliding in Wildschönau – an inspiring experience!
You pull the wing over your head, accelerate down the gentle slope, become lighter step by step, then … you're flying! You float weightlessly through the air and experience the fascinating mountains of the Kitzbüheler Alps from a bird's eye view. The feeling is as indescribable as it is unique and is man's oldest dream. On your holiday in Hotel Simmerlwirt it can come true.
Close to our hotel you'll find the Wildschönau flying school. Their flight park is one of the best training grounds in Austria. Learning to fly couldn't be quicker and safer. The beginners course is 6 days and soon you can manage your first long flight close to the ground on a gentle slope. Trial courses go for 1 day during which you will also be flying close to the ground down the beginners slope.
For those who don't dare, book a tandem flight. Take off with a professional tandem pilot, let your feet dangle and feel the unique feeling of weightlessness.
